Welcome to the Morning Star Observatory web page!

The Morning Star Observatory is a private backyard observatory located in Tucson, Arizona, USA. It was constructed during the hot desert month of July in 2004 by myself and several truly dedicated friends.

The observatory was built from the most excellent plans purchased from Backyard Observatories. The observatory houses a Meade 12” LX200R with the predominant activity of the observatory being CCD imaging.
